yah so i went for dinner the other night. and i gotta say: i totally love it
i tried the BBQ jalapeño wings, the seared ahi tuna, the escargot, the porterhouse, and the burger. and they were all SLAMMIN i am not even kidding. even the fries were great. i am dying to go back and try the "dirty benny" cuz the lady next table over was having it and it looked amazing and i heard her raving and she scarfed the whole thing down in no time flat. as for the stilo of the joint-- i guess even that is brilliant. cuz apparently this is the "new thang" or some shit. like for example i went to RustyKnot sometime last week, and yah i get it i am well aware all the hipsters and whatnot think it's the new jumpoff or whatever. but i hauled my ass alls the way over to the highway and i must say personally i wasn't feelin it at all, i left after five minutes, that is not an exaggeration. and supposedly RustyKnot has this "haute bar food" thing going on too-- but like i said i wouldn't know cuz i didn't bother to try any of it. but whatever anyways i can tell ThunderJacksons is gonna be hott like any millisecond now cuz i spotted all sorts of industry peoples up in there (eeheee it's pretty dope watching them mingle with "the village" walk-ins and tourists and stuff-- it's like playing a game or some shit. SPOT THE HOMIES) and so i'm pretty sure word is gonna spread like wildfire now that they're officially officially open. cuz everybody knows where the Industry goes is where it's at. ahahahahahaa sigh i almost wish i could just post this in the private "members only" section cuz gawd knows i am so not looking forward to it getting "discovered" and getting overrun by dorkfaces like what happened to EO and BlueRibbon way back in the day but whatever. i'm just sayin. |

if this is the place, i heard it's pretty chill, but i haven't gone there yet. |

don't worry about the dorkasses! eater just did thunder jackson the biggest favor ever. you should call & thank them.
http://eater.com/archives/2008/03/cliche_alert_th.php Because sometimes we have lapses in judgment and trust the nutters over at the PXThis forum, we read their reviews of the new Bleecker St. sports bar Thunder Jackson's and decided to do an Eater spot check. Let's just say it's everything you'd come to expect in a Bleecker St. sports bar and more. We're not even going to go into the food (but you'd be wise to avoid most of it if you go). Just observe the picture above and pass judgment for yourselves: the place serves forties in brown paper bags. There's just no better gimmick for making your yuppie bar stand out than appropriating a clichéd symbol of poverty. Now a look at the food and clientèle. |

Hmm, are you saying you know something they don't know? What a shocker. LOL. the funny thing is i was actually trying to be nice by sending them the information. because lockhart-steele aplogozed for the Racked thing. now i clearly see: they don't WANT to be smarter. or more insightful. and thus, they never will. the most ridiculous thing of all is: i think they actually think it's US they're harming. hahahahahahaa |

It's admirable you'd try to enlighten them but they keep proving the old adage time and again "It takes one to know one". That's what they hate and why it is you drive them so crazy. By the wya, I heard all about TJ. You're not the only with sources in the biz, y'know. This post has been edited by Dishwasher: Mar 31 2008, 03:40 PM |
