meh. haven't you noticed that the people in the biz that get it the worst on this website are the same people that most other people in the biz also don't like? the press might like them, but the industry knows all the dirt. i've sat in interviews where we joke about some of the owners on my resume. gets me hired on the spot!

I am generally opposed to any kind of reality television but only because there's so little actual reality in it. I normally wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But I have long said that Abbs should have alot more exposure and if Bravo is willing to step out of the way and just let her be herself without her having to be subject to ridiculous contrived tasks like Project Runway or Top Chef then this would be something that I would love to watch.

The unfortunate thing about Julia Allison is that despite being a pretty woman who is well-educated and seemingly intelligent, she comes off as remarkably dull. Responding to all those negative comments in such a prosaic way only serves to reinforce the negativity. She simply isn't engaging. She's rather, well, boring. Far be it for me to want to sound like a kiss-ass, but in comparison, Ms. Diaz's responses to her detractors are always incisively sharp and delivered with remarkable aplomb. It's not difficult to see how that makes for far better Reality TV fodder.

they actually haven't written about her in a long time. they prob just did that after they got the email about abbe. i've seen where commenters on gawker have said that abbe should be the next j.a. & the email about abbe prob reminded them that they haven't checked on her lately!

Seriously I have been considering boycotting this show because of that issue. They've got a white woman on RH of Atlanta, for "diversity" but can't find one rich, interesting, non-Anglo woman in NYC or NJ or Orange County.

it is weird that they're keeping the women of color in the ATL.

plus, NYC has way more ethinc divserity than just black/white.

I am a "woman of color" and for some reason I was asked to apply for this show and so I did; I filled out some kind of questionaire thingie (granted, it was pre-coffee and I was half asleep so maybe my answers sucked) and I sent in the requisite photographs and even though I've only been snapped by Patrick McMullan two or three times ever, I'm pretty sure I'm at least as (if not way more) fascinating than either of these bitches and it did kinda occur to me maybe they dissed me in the end cuz I'm not white. (And I live DOWN town in the west village which is obviously way too cool for this sweater set wearing pearl necklace clutching tory-burch sporting wonder bread show.)

I'm just sayin.

I've tried watching all the Housewives shows and thought they were all disgusting, tacky, down market, and embarrassing!! And the women are NOT attractive, especially the ATL one. However, I am a bit confused as to why no Black or Latino women are on the NY show (don't care about the California show). Abbe, I think you would have totally rocked it. Too bad!!
