yah so last night i went for dinner and i tried the new tuna "noodle" salad thingie, which was PRETTY DAMNED TASTY.
they have other new stuffs on the menu too that i didn't get to try. but i overheard the staff in the service station, discussing the "tasting" and one girl was raving her head off so maybe they really are good.

i've always liked Kittichai but i think sometimes they have a bit of an inconsistency problem. i must say though
considering the numerous disappointments i've experienced lately (Morandi, Japonais, EU, Robuchon, etc) i am beginning to think maybe Kittichai is EXCEPTIONAL and i just didn't know any better. or some shit. seriously

and oh yah
the Kittichai maitre d' happens to be a good friend of mine and on occasion i see her name down there at the bottom, peeking around. like yesterday for example, she was probably nosing her way through trying to see what peoples were commenting about jean-marc and huy-chi-le

yah so. the fact she can't even be bothered to say "hi" or anything like that (and this is my FRIEND mind you) means she is a total JERKFACE.

Last night i was watching one of my favorite teevee shows (scrubs - fucking brilliant in every way and if anyone doesn't
think so they have no appreciation for great writing and acting and cast chemistry)

anyway, it was totally awesome as usually, but even MORE AWESOME last night. My big tough
and scary boyfriend and I were sitting on the couch with tears streaming down our faces and sniveling
like we were cutting up a case of onions, and we weren't giving each other ANNNNNY shit about it,
we were completely absorbed in the performances.

When it was over, we were like Damn.

And i said, i gotta send a motherfucking FAN letter, which i've never done in my whole
life, not even when i was a teenager with the Tiger Beat posters covering my walls.

But I didn't. i went to the site to give a shoutout and it was all serious and you had
to register and people were having this intense discussions and i didn't want to just
bust in and be like "I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!"

Girl, this is how i feel about YOU.

And if you think i'm the only one out there watching your shizz and not piping in
with the love, then you are HELLA wrong, cause if my ass was intimidated by a
goddamn teevee website, then you can just IMAGINE peeps sticking their
heads in THIS gladiator ring, with ALLS OF THE NEW YORK RESTUARANT INDUSTRY
and the goddamn media reporting "live from the center of the universe" and shizz
watching peep's every move up in this piece.

cause we wasn't put on this earth to be alls exactly alike

yah so i was talking to a friend this weekend and he told me he just happened to be discussing Kittichai (among other restaurants) the other day too. with a bunch of foodie type peoples

and he told me chef anne-burrell said the reason Kittichai probably has an inconsistency problem is because chef ian-chalermkittichai is "soooo nice" he has problems expressing his dissatisfaction with his own kitchen staff.
