I hope so, because Jean Georges is pretty ugly.

LOL. I mean the restaurant, not the chef.

Okay, he is having the walls painted, the table clothes changed and maybe the windows cleaned.

Not earth shattering news.

Now I see the point...not everything this guy does deserved ink.

I have no clue really...just being sarcastic...maybe he will overhaul the tasting menu as well.

He SHOULD move it up about 10 floors. Then he would have some nice view up there!!

I thought his lease was up.(10 years?) ..he renewed I guess.

Now I have this craving for Foie Gras with Mango wub.gif

Nice call...the NYT released the info:

Renovating

JEAN GEORGES The 10-year-old dining room will undergo renovations from Aug. 20 through 28. Nougatine, the cafe, will stay open: 1 Central Park West (60th Street), (212) 299-3900.

The botex worked...and well. Very nice job with the addition of very light curtains, change of the rug, chairs (light gray-no more brown), same with the couches. The lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling- different. I liked it.

All in all a very nice improvement without changing the "minimalist" ambiance of the dining room.

Now Mercer Kitchen needs a major overhall, very badly. That place is falling apart! I am just talking the physical structure and furniture here.

Good to see the new hairdo.

But I was hoping for a menu upgrade as well.

But, I guess if it's not broke, stay with what works........................................for now

I wonder what happens with all those Amuses he serves...like the Strawberry Mint Soups and the recent Cucumber Mint Soup? Tasty as hell, but not on any menu yet...

How would he have time to upgrade the menu? Isn't he busy workng for The Man now? Starwood needs an upgraded Turkey Club, first.

LOL.

Actually, I have seen them...AT THE BAR!

Strawberry Mint, Cucumber Mint Martini's, Mojitos and the like.

Here is a view from the dining room. (Sorry I don't like being seen taking pictures-so this crappy one is all I have)
