Why DID they get rid of Mary Elaine's. That was a real nice place...like Per Se with the little stools for the hand bags and all. Starwood is weird. I see opening new places, but replacing good ones????? This one confuses me.

You don't understand, I think JG is one of the best chef's on the planet.............but he doesn't always listen to good council.
I tryed my best to point him in the right direction and got realeased for it. His real protector and council died 6 months later.
He listens to heresay, rumors, and makes bad judgement calls on misinformation.

I always hoped my introduction to the private equity world (Catterton Partners) would surround him with a better level of management.
I wish him only the best,..... even if he thinks that I don't.

Yeah I got this post this morning.........you notice the guys from China White (London).......same guys that do the private casino with him in London. (London Fifty)

What really gets me is that I pitched a private club concept to him and Artan told him that if he was ever going to do a club he should definitely consult with me since I had built over 75 of them during the '70s & 80's.

But of course he waited till after I was gone to do it.

You mentioned you tried to get JG to listen to you...was Mr. Suarez involved in these discussions with you? It does really sound like these people are linked further back than The Fifty. Maybe one of his designer buddies....Meier, Rockwell, Tehany...may have lined them up. There are so many ways to hook up these days. Then their is the Starwood factor... and on and on it goes....
