Interesting list of usual subjects.

Their contributions are impressive, but few take a high road approach to building their empires............the new economy should change that HOPEFULLY?

I LOVE THIS TOWN!!!

It would be good to have more a shift back to the mom and pop......could happen. If all the backers have lost $$$$. Have heard that even De Beers is going bankrupt??? Crazy that with rooms stockpiled high with diamonds that they have no $$$.

I'm glad you find it interesting $$Man, but I see it as a very boring list of the usual suspects. Seriously, how much more do we need to hear about these people? Do any of them know the meaning of the word 'overexposed'? rolleyes.gif

Also, nice guys finish last. The question should be, 'how many of these people would even have empires if they always took the high road?' dry.gif

Nice guys finish last??
Each generation should learn from their past examples, and the high road will sustain over any smoke and mirrors drama the industry seems to attract.
Over exposure only qualifies if you are not producing a new and inovative product or concept on a regular basis.

Financially speaking, the high road is a proven better return. (Everyone cheers for the good guy.....even if he comes in last)
Would they have an empire if they took the high road?............... I would like to think it could be done

I think it can be done. The difference is that the successful people that take the high road usually do it for everything. So obviously they are not the ones that are in the press every other day gloating over their success. The people that have to do that are the ones that need the hype to maintain their success, because they have so little else to offer. Take Donald Trump for example.

Now think about the people that are the hugest successes but don't have to stick their mugs in the press at ever opportunity. Usually it's the press chasing them - they don't have publicists sending put releases about every move they make. Take Howard Hughes for example.
