Yah, I addressed this already at this article from the NY Post dated May 13, 2009. The article, unfortunately, has been "re-filed/archived" and the original comments no longer appear under the column.
My comment at the time was exactly as follows:
"Wiercinski is presenting his case before the state commission today."
Yes, and it was thrown out almost immediately after it was presented. Incidentally, Mangia did NOT "not return calls," but specifically requested The NY Post submit its inquiry in writing so that the issue could be properly addressed. From what I gather, they were merely uncertain as to the validity of the identity of the reporter calling, and did not want to give out responses over the telephone.
Mangia57 provided evidence which was a clear reflection of Mr.Wiercinski's character. Despite this irrefutable evidence, Mr.Wiercinski pressed on, but finally desisted when asked if he intended "to continue perjuring [him]self."
It's a shame The Post could not wait to print this story, as it would have been a far more worthwhile effort to delineate this as a prime example of the egregious abuse of the New York State legal system (not to mention the abhorrent vilification of an innocent business enterprise).
I am a NYC restaurant consultant and good friend (and fan) of Mangia Corp. I have taken it upon myself to address this article, as I fully appreciate the significance of the "Google algorithm," even if Mangia does not.
[Also, I get the impression they're probably a little too busy dealing with other more pressing matters today, as they are, and remain, the Number One corporate caterer in NYC.]

The case was thrown out then, and thus CANNOT be refiled with the courts, despite Mr.Wiercinski's attempts to file in another borough. Mangia's attormeys are currently dealing with this matter.
By the way, here is the URL for the NY Post article.

Ugh. The Post article one more time--> http://tinyurl.com/ykc4rme
One more thing though-- it would be nice to see an adequate "update" WITHIN the original blog post for a change, because as you can see, comments often get deleted from articles which are still indexed and available via Google.
It would be really really great if "food journalists" were as enthusiastic and diligent about the truth as they are with sordid controversy, for a fucking change.

A former employee of Mangia 57 said he was regularly served heaping helpings of anti-Semitism at the upscale catering company.
In papers filed with the state Division of Human Rights, Adam Wiercinski said...
Mangia, Mangia 57, Mangia 48, Mangia NYC, Adam Wiercinski, Perjury, Fallacious Claim, Fallacious Lawsuit, Anti-Semitism, Anti-Semitic
ADAM WIERCINSKI COMMITS PERJURY AGAINST MANGIA 57, MANGIA 48 - FILES FALLACIOUS LAWSUIT
